Between the Lines
by Jodi Picoult

Delilah doesn't enjoy life as a teenage girl. Cheerleading, boys and gossip are not her idea of fun. Instead she prefers to curl up with a good book, and particularly a familiar fairy tale which she reads again and again. She knows how it will turn out, and it will be happy ever after. Or will it? One day Delilah opens the pages of the book to find the prince begging her to help him escape!

This is a really lovely book, full of innocent charm. It is a romance, a coming of age, and a celebration of books, of stories, of reading. It isn't original - think 'The Princess Bride', 'Inkheart', and others - but it's delightful! Jodi Picoult is a master storyteller, keeping you turning the pages, and she has collaborated on this book with her daughter to produce a young adult gem.
