School events over two days to launch this enthralling ghost story based around Sutton Hoo.
Harriet Goodwin won awards for her first book The Boy Who Fell Down Exit 42. Although she lives in Staffordshire, she was fascinated by the story of Sutton Hoo, its house and its treasure, so decided to set her book here.
Renamed Gravenhunger, the story tells of a boy spending a summer at the cold, damp, grand house and who sets about solving the mystery of why his mother kept her family home a secret. The mound in the grounds, a strange key, and eery goings-on get more and more sinister.
Harriet will be speaking to children from Woodbridge Primary School, and will launch the book at Sutton Hoo to an invited audience on Friday 27 May.
